day 12 - part 1

i've discovered that i absolutely hate exercising in the morning unless it's something in the pool. i just walked in the treadmill for about 20 minutes, and it felt like an hour. i was hating every single step and eventually stopped...just a few days ago i was enjoying the treadmill! and they say here that if you're hating it, you shouldn't do it. it's so much easier for me in the afternoon - how strange! so i'll return this afternoon to the dreaded treadmill and try again. i do think i learned a very important lesson, though...something i'll incorporate when i return to the "real world." oh, and the DFC folks said that there's no "right" time to exercise, and that there's no scientific evidence to show that exercising at night interrupts sleep patterns. they said to exercise whenever it feels best for you. so if you love exercising at 5:30am, go for it! if you'd rather exercise at 7pm, that's fine, too. so nighttime it is!

off to class!

this post makes me laugh. i've been getting up by 5:37am every morning this summer to run. :) for a while, when i first started excercising, i would run 2 miles first thing in the morning, and then 2 more when i came home that evening. the evening runs seemed to take FOREVER. i HATED working out in the evening! so funny how different human beings can be. :)
