currently, there are 5 faucets running in my apartment...with dirty brownish yellowish water coming out of them. something happened to our water line this past weekend, so now they are working hard to fix it. to speed along the process, we are having to run our water continuously. this is totally going against the project i'm working on at the same time which is all about sustainability. oh the irony.
also as i was sitting here at my desk, i jumped about 17 feet in the air when a squirrel appeared in my window and pressed his furry little face against the glass. i half expected him to cup his hands around his eyes and knock on the window. thankfully, he did not. i, however, did, and he ran away promptly. about 5 minutes later, though, he reappeared. apparently he was undaunted by my forceful knocking. this was also the first day in about 5 days that i didn't have my windows open, so if he was going to appear, better today than any of those days.
it's never a dull moment in the residence hall.
