sketchup wars continued

i fought sketchup today and WON! victory is mine. take THAT, superslow 3-D software! HIIIIIII-YA!

i did get my hair highlighted and cut AND i got bangs for the first time. well, actually, now that i think about it, i actually did have bags around 5th grade. ooh, this is a funny story...so, it's 5th grade, right? this was around 1987, and madonna was all the rage. remember her hair? and remember those crazy bangs that everyone started wearing around then? well, i wanted them. i remember taking a pair of scissors into my sister's bathroom and cutting my hair to create something that resembled bangs, and i have the proof in my 5th grade picture. however...when i came out of the bathroom, my mom asked me if i'd cut my hair. stupidly, i said no because i thought she would be mad. and i continued to say no for days and weeks, even though it was obvious that i'd gone into the bathroom sans bangs and emerged with a new do clutching a pair of scissors, near tears because my hair didn't look anything like madonna's. thankfully, miguel my hair guy took care of me and gave me an excellent haircut.

highlights and sketchup don't seem nearly as intimidating as they did a few days ago.
