it's 2pm, and barack obama is our new president! i was flipping channels and stopped on fox news because the plane formerly known as air force one was waiting to take off from andrews air force base, and i couldn't help but watch that big blue plane take george w. bush far far away. and then i noticed something really interesting...fox news followed that plane as it took off down the runway, lifted into the air, made a full circle and a fly-by past the air force base once again...and it kept going and going and going. the tagline at the bottom of the screen said something about "george w. bush says final farewell." then i turned to cnn, msnbc, cbs, nbc, abc, and hln...while cnn did have a small window on the right side of the screen following the plane, it also had live feed of interviews from the streets of DC with people there for the inauguration. and the other channels were all talking about the difficulties obama will face and how he will and should proceed, they were dissecting his inspiring speech, they were talking about his proposed stimulus package. so basically, fox news is stuck in the past with 'dubya' and doing its best to convince everyone that his legacy really will be a great one, while everyone else is moving on. really, fox news? aren't you at all inspired by the events that have transpired in the last few months and finally today? stop being the debbie-downers of the news world and get with the program!
update: it's 6:40pm, and fox news is the only one showing dubya's welcome home rally speech in midland, texas while the parade continues in washington, dc. honestly...
