t-minus 358 days and counting...

meredith college celebrated graduation last sunday, and that's when it really hit me that i have less than a year until i'm done too! considering how quickly the last year went, this kind of freaks me out. one thing i've been dreaming about for the past 7 years is my own place to live. i don't know what i'm going to do when i'm not surrounded by a residence hall, but i'm pretty excited about it! so i've been looking around the internet at various homes for sale and condos and apartments to rent, and i think i've found the place i want to live.

golden belt is located in durham in a renovated textile factory. part of the complex includes artist studios and galleries, and it looks like eventually it'll also include restaurants and open green spaces. i think living in a loft sounds lovely...even a studio loft. i don't need much space, and i certainly don't need a yard. i've lived with tiny kitchens and itsy bitsy bathrooms. i even lived in a tent for three months! i think i can handle a super cool loft with awesome windows in a city i love. plus they allow pets. it's my dream space, AND it's LEED certified. it's like it was meant to be. i just hope they have one come next may or june...anywho, here's a sneak peak.
