i am convinced that the occupants of the room above me were put there solely to torture me during my last year of living in a residence hall...it is someone's last laugh at my expense. they are quite rambunctious and seem to have difficulty walking quietly or even standing because they seem to stumble around quite a bit. in addition, they have a fondness for hammering after 10pm which is strictly forbidden. i've already visited them the last two nights, and i simply do not have the energy to do so tonight. so instead i am going to bed and hope that they're chattering, laughing, stumbling, hammering, and general merry-making do not make their way over to the ceiling above my bedroom.
also, my favorite font in the whole world (go to fontgarden and then scroll down to 'elastic wrath') will not load on my macbook. every other font i've downloaded is there, but elastic wrath refuses to load. i can see it in the font book, but it won't show up in word or other office applications. this makes me sad. and i just wasted about 30 minutes trying to get it to work. i think it's time for wednesday to be done!

this made me laugh a whole lot. I'm pretty sure you should come up with something terrible to get back at them (think the clapper in Duplex or simply the traditional broom handle-ceiling tapping combination).
oh i invented the whole broom handle-ceiling thing! i invented it at ncssm when i had 13' ceilings and jumped on my bed with a broom in my hand to reach the ceiling. it was quite comical. thankfully the lower ceilings in vann make jumping on the bed optional rather than necessary. :)
