on wednesday, i submitted an online order to fedex/kinkos to be picked up later that day. the total came to over $30, and my bank account has taken quite the hit lately. remembering what mystery lady said, i googled "kinkos coupon." the first site that popped up sent me to www.retailmenot.com. i clicked it, found a coupon for 30% off any online order, copied the coupon code into the box on the kinko's checkout page, and instantly saved $7.00!
then this morning, i finally ordered some extra straws for my starbucks cold beverage tumbler. i'm tired of rummaging around to find the one straw i have that hasn't turned red from the copious amount of cheerwine i used to consume. so again i googled "starbucks coupon," and again www.retailmenot.com came up as the first site. i clicked it and found a coupon for 25% off. granted, on a $4.00 order that's not too much, but a buck is a buck. the only caveat to the starbucks coupons - most of the ones for $5.00 off are codes for gift cards that have already been used. so if you're the first to get to it, it'll work. but if you're 2nd or 3rd, you're out of luck.
and just an FYI - i just searched for amazon coupons on the site, and the first one that pops up (and has an 84% success rate) is for a FREE year of amazon prime for anyone with a .edu email address. that means FREE 2-day shipping for a year. yes, please!
anyone find other great deals there?
** just signed up for amazon student with my .edu email address, and it's actually only free for 6 months. after that, they will automatically charge me the $39 for the rest of the year until i tell them not to. tricky tricky, amazon. still, i plan to take full advantage of this!
*** just checked my bank account, and i was charged $1 for amazon prime. last time i checked, $1 is not the same as free, amazon. sketchy.
