a funny thing happened on the way to my apartment...

although the high school kids who are here for the summer (and consequently the staffers who are with them) drive me somewhat batty, they have kindly blocked off the part of the hallway in front of my apartment as an 'out of bounds' area. this means that kids shouldn't ever be walking past my door, which is fabulous. tonight as i was approaching my door (which, remember, is in the 'out of bounds' area) after my dreadful english class, one of the staffers tried to tell me that i couldn't walk in that area. i'm 31. these kids are in high school. apparently i look half my age. i'm totally tickled.

that is too funny! isn't it fun having people think you're a high school kid?
