apparently i am very good at jinxing myself, and really my day could, and did, get worse.
about 4 minutes after i finished typing "but it can only get better, right?" in my last blog post, i dropped my phone in the toilet. after i'd used it. it's ok to laugh...i did. but it's completely useless now, and the verizon ladies weren't all that sympathetic about my craptastic day.
emily - you were 100% correct about insurance on cell phones. it's useless! they said it would cost $90 to get a replacement, and frankly if i'm paying that much for a phone they don't even manufacture anymore, i might as well get a new one. except that it's not time for an upgrade, and the phone i'd like to have retails for about $400. decisions, decisions.
after a very good, very loud, and very snotty cry, i have calmed down somewhat and am shopping the internet for a new phone. suggestions are welcome.
and i hope you all are having a MUCH better day than i am.

I was just about to tell you to look on the internet! But you thought of that all by yourself. I'm sorry you had such a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day (was it worth all of those descriptors or just a few?) Also, Negative Nancy made me super sad...I like Polly better (Sorry, Nance!) :)
OH and I just bought a webcam.
oddly enough, i was JUST thinking of alexander's day and wondering what, precisely, those adjectives were. i think each and every one of them applies to today.
however, FUN NEWS about the webcam! now we can actually see your room as you stand in the middle and pan it with the webcam. i promise that should we skype, you will be skyping with positive polly and not negative nancy.
