grateful for a fun weekend!

despite my initial worries that the weekend wouldn't be so great, i actually had a nice weekend at home with my family. everybody swam, and they (including my sister, brother-in-law, and soon-to-be-70-year-old dad) ended up having a canon ball contest off the diving board while i snapped photos. my brother-in-law won, but i think he had a slight advantage over his kids and my skinny sister. my dad cooked delicious steaks on the grill, all people under the age of 13 were on their best behavior, and we adults entertained the kids with our stories of speeding tickets. *side note - my dad managed to get 2 speeding tickets in TEN MINUTES. true story.* basically, we laughed a LOT. and that's a great way to spend a weekend.

and my parents have finally joined skype! we skyped with my sister in atlanta, and olivia was a total ham. i think my parents only want to skype now.

i'm really grateful that it ended up being such a FUN weekend.
