i see travel in my future!

my mom had the brilliant idea a few weeks ago that she and i tag along with my uncle from holland as he tours out west. (it should be noted that this uncle  gets approximately 8 weeks of paid vacation a year and has, consequently, traveled just about everywhere in the world.) i just talked to my mom on the phone, and our trip is definitely a go!

my mom and i planned a route last weekend - LA, up the pacific coast highway to san francisco, then over to yosemite (finally! yosemite!), down through kings canyon and sequoia national parks, and back to LA. then, my mom will likely fly home so she can get back to work (sad), but my uncle and i might drive out to grand canyon, bryce and zion, and maybe glen canyon recreation area.

this is my dream trip! well, if you add yellowstone, glacier, and a few other more northern destinations it would be my absolute dream trip. but i have to save something for the future, right? now excuse me, i must go purchase a national parks pass.
